Casino, sports betting and lottery technology supplier IGT has announced that its PeakSlant49 cabinet will now be available for purchase. Previously, the cabinet was available as a lease-only option and shipped to International Game Technology PLC partners in the United States. Moving forward, the cabinet will come to buying customers who are willing to integrate it with their existing offering.
Why Is IGT Shifting PeakSlant49 from a Lease to Purchase Cabinet?
After extensive testing on the commercial market, IGT has reassurances that PeakSlant49 is in high demand, and will become a market success when released as a standalone unit. The direct purchase facilitates operations for IGT as it only has to ship the cabinets once.
Commenting on these events, IGT COO for gaming, Nick Khin, said:
“IGT developed a specialized content pipeline for the PeakSlant49 cabinet that our customers can purchase with confidence knowing that the games have achieved significant performance metrics.”
Khin brought up games such as Stinkin’ Rich Skunks Gone Wild, Regal Riches and Scarab Link that are all part of the cabinet. IGT feels confident that the PeakSlant45 is what the official press-release describes as “attention-grabbing focal point on any casino floor.”
As to the specifics of the PeakSlant49 cabinet, the machine features a 49″, progressively curved Ultra-HD display and a 27″ video topper, IGT specifies. The cabinet comes with a 13.3″ dynamic player panel to further improve the overall experience.
IGT’s cabinets are the benchmark that companies in the industry try to achieve to strengthen their offer. Presently, the PeakSlant49 is the company’s newest cabinet that was released in 2020 as a lease-only option, but is now becoming a staple in the US gaming sector, where it is available for purchase.
IGT has had a string of successes in the first half of the year. The company announced that it is extending its video lottery leadership with a Maryland systems agreement, consolidating its footprint in the VTL segment in the United States.
