Online slots developer Booongo recently announced the release of their latest upgrade to the Hold and Win portfolio: Wolf Night Hold and Win. The slot uses the popular wolf theme and includes many other animals, including eagles, deer, bighorn sheep and owls.
How Is Wolf Night Hold and Win Played?
Wolf Night Hold and Win uses a standard 5×3 layout along with 25 paylines to dictate the action. The game has a familiar setting and backdrop for anyone who has played any wolf-themed slots before, but it does do a few things differently.
The wolf is also a Wild symbol throughout the game, while the mountains are a scatter symbol that only appears on the middle three reels. If all three appear, players are rewarded with eight Free Spins, during which wolves transform into wild multipliers, adding a 2x multiplier to every wild that lands for potentially big win combos.
Six or more full moon Bonus symbols will activate the Hold and Win function used in many Booongo games. In this feature, the grid is filled with moon bonus symbols which each have a random cash value from 1x to 16x the player’s stake. All of the symbols that triggered the bonus will stick on the reels, and players will receive 3 respins.
All-new bonus symbols stick to the reels during the Hold and Win feature, and the respin counter is reset to three each time a new symbol appears. The bonus will continue until the player runs out of respins or until all of the bonus symbols have been filled in on the grid. By filling the grid with bonus symbols, players can win the grand jackpot, which is worth 2,000x their stake.
Yuriy Muratov, Head of Account Management and Business Development at Booongo, said of the release:
“Wolf Night sees players venture through the moonlit sky in search of huge riches. Combining both a Hold and Win and Free Spins mode with wild multipliers, there are more opportunities than ever for players to win big. We pride ourselves on creating innovative and engaging games, and we’re very excited to see how players receive Wolf Night.”
